Frequent enquiries.
The most common questions we receive at the Bureau. Anything missing? Speak to the Concierge below or send a written enquiry.
Are your fragrances authentic?+
Every bottle is sourced direct or via authorised channels, sealed, and inspected before dispatch. We do not stock testers, decants, or unsealed stock.
Where do you ship?+
We currently ship across the United Kingdom. Standard tracked delivery is 2–3 working days from dispatch. International shipping is available on request — please contact us.
What is your returns policy?+
Sealed, unopened bottles can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Opened fragrance cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
Which payment methods do you accept?+
We accept all major cards and Klarna via Stripe at checkout. Bank transfer is available for in-store and high-value orders — see the Contact page for details.
Do you offer samples or decants?+
Not at present. The Bureau is a full-bottle boutique. The Concierge chat (bottom right) can help you decide before purchase.
What do longevity and projection mean?+
Longevity is how long a fragrance remains on the skin (we score 0–10). Projection (also called sillage) is the scent's diffusion — how far it carries from the wearer. Both are listed on each product.
Can I layer two fragrances?+
Yes — many of our pieces are designed to be combined. Each product lists suggested layering partners; ask the Concierge for personalised pairings.
How should I store my perfume?+
Keep bottles upright, away from direct sunlight and heat. Properly stored, modern fragrance maintains its character for 3–5 years from opening.
Do you offer gift wrapping or in-store consultations?+
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours and consultations can be booked by appointment. See the Contact page for boutique hours.
